Dissertation

I have been at a workshop all day on how to write a dissertation. A daunting prospect when you first look at it but breaking it down today we really started to see that it's not as big as it first seemed. Broken into a few chapters it doesn't seem much space to deal with a topic. I have an idea of my topic but need to decide how to attack it. I guess I had better start reading. I am not sure if the essay technique which I have used to date will be feasible for the longer project as it is quite time consuming, but it does have the advantage that by the time I start writing I know exactly where I am going and how I am going to get there. May need to start and see how it goes.
